This is an illustration I did for a sweet little book called 'The Tale of Trellie the Troog' by Douglas Hill. Troogs are described thus:
'Old stories of scary monsters only tell about things like trolls and ogres. And while troogs could be scary, they weren't as horrible as trolls or as ugly as ogres. They knew, of course, that people were always frightened out of their wits if they saw a troog. But troogs just thought that people were a little odd.'
They're perfectly right, of course!
Anyway, enjoy!
Lots of love,
P xxx
This is gorgeous. I especially like the trees- they're magnificent. And the rolling hills- looks like there is a bit of a mist out there in the wilds.
ReplyDeleteOh my, these do look like monsters I would not want to meet anywhere but on this pc. Great job!

ReplyDeleteI did make it to the exhibition eventually. That wheel on my boyfriends car took along time. It was really great to see so many different styles in watercolour. I was a little disapointed I did not spot your paintings I was looking forward to seeing them in reality I was probably just being dopey or something. Hope you make it on Sunday.
