I've dun a narchaeological illustration!



This is a drawing of a secular badge which would date from the late 14th century if it weren't a 21st century copy. The image is around 7cm high, being a 2 x enlargement from the actual object. I was curious to see how it would reproduce, though it would have been more useful to have reduced it down. The practice is to draw them twice up for reproduction at ss. I'm concerned that some of the detail might fill in ...

Very nice! I have to say such detail would drive me bonkers though...I'm with you the height thing too, that photo from Warwick castle made me feel a bit queasy.

I'm a bit envious as well. I actually really enjoy noodling that level of detail, I just don't get the excuse (or time within my deadlines) very often. Love the detail. Love the subject matter. Love the 'fieldtrips' you get to take!
